Hanging Around

We had some jeans hanging out on the clothesline the other day, why I’m not sure because we do have a dryer, but they were there none the less, and I happened to look out the window and see them, and for some reason it looked very picturesque, so I went outside and took some pictures, as you very may well have guessed already.
I know this sort of thing has been done countless times, but I figured I might as well take a “shot” at it.

Now these next two pictures were tricky and you’ll probably see the resemblance between them.
You see this first picture turned out really well except for the blatant white car in the background, but I hadn’t’ decided to change it until a couple of days later. So long story short, I used the art of photo shopping to finally get it the way I wanted it.
There are new perspectives and new ideas to learn everyday and I thank all of you for the encouragement. :-)

A Playful Day

On a beautiful day cats tend to be more playful, especially my new kittens.
This first one’s name is Bo-Bo and we got him about a week before the others.
Now the cool thing is, although Bo-Bo is a lot older than the other two, he takes care of them as if they were his own.
In this next one he had gotten a hold of my lens cap, and Susie, (the dark calico one) wanted to play too.
This one’s name is Thumper and she’s playing with a mouse that one of my other cats had caught.
(and yes she doesn’t have a tail)
Susie was done playing and wanted to take a nap.
But it didn’t last long because there were more things to explore.
Oh and did I mention that Bo-Bo loves to play in the snow?
But then again I guess they all do.

Birds of a Feather

For awhile now I've been trying to get a good picture of one of the many hawks that live around here, but sadly the best I could do was one sitting on a far away fence post and you could hardly tell that it was even a hawk.

That is until now...

This hawk landed on a tree in our backyard and I was fortunate to have seen it. the Blue Jay landed there just a bit after the hawk did.
But sadly the hawk didn't stay long. He must be camera shy : )
