Birds of a Feather

For awhile now I've been trying to get a good picture of one of the many hawks that live around here, but sadly the best I could do was one sitting on a far away fence post and you could hardly tell that it was even a hawk.

That is until now...


This hawk landed on a tree in our backyard and I was fortunate to have seen it. the Blue Jay landed there just a bit after the hawk did.
But sadly the hawk didn't stay long. He must be camera shy : )

    Wow, you don't often see a hawk and a blue jay sitting together on the same tree...and to take a picture is an even more amazing! Nice job!

    That's pretty cool! Over here all there is is a ton of vultures.....ha. :-\
